Actress Jeon Ji-hyeon, 30, tied the knot Friday at the Shilla Hotel, Seoul.
Also known as Gianna Jeon, the actress married Choi Jun-hyuk, grandson of “hanbok” (traditional Korean costume) designer Lee Young-hee.
She said getting married has not come home to her yet at a press conference held three hours prior to the wedding.
Jeon and Choi were childhood friends and love blossomed between the two when a friend re-introduced them two years ago.
“I am an actress and I express myself through movies and dramas. I think I have to reflect on myself first and improve my acting”, Jeon said.
She added the couple has no plans for children yet.
Justice Minister Kwon Jae-jin, who went to high school with Choi’s father, officiated at their wedding; and Jeon’s favorite singer Lee Juck sang a nuptial song for them.
She wore a Reem Acra wedding gown for the first part of the ceremony and a hanbok designed by her grandmother-in-law for the wedding reception. At the press conference before the wedding, she chose a Jenny Packham dress.
Jeon originally planned to wed in June, but changed the date due to the filming schedule for her new movie “Berlin”. She will leave for Germany later this month to shoot with Ha Jeong-woo, Han Seok-Kyuand Ryoo Seung-beom.
Jeon made her debut as a model in 1997 and was a big hit in the 2001 movie “My Sassy Girl”. She also appeared in Hollywood films in “Blood: The Last Vampire” (2009) and “Snow Flower and the Secret Fan” (2011).
The film tells the love story of a male engineering college student, Gyeon-woo, and “the Girl” (who is never named in the movie). Gyeon-woo just cannot seem to catch a romantic break.
Makoto, a freshman on his first day at university, meets a cute girl named Shizuru. Makoto is normally shy around people, but is attracted to Shizuru for her childlike appearance and behavior. Shizuru wants to be with Makoto, so she develops an interest in his hobby of photography. The two spend time together taking photos in a nearby forest. However, Makoto soon develops stronger feelings for another student named Miyuki, who is beautiful and more well developed. Shizuru, seeing this, hints to Makoto that she will grow up to be a beautiful woman, and he will be sorry for not picking her. One day, she tells Makoto that she wants to take a photo of them kissing in the forest as a present for her birthday, which they do.
After this, Shizuru unexpectedly leaves school and is not heard from again for two years. Makoto receives a letter asking him to come to New York to see Shizuru’s debut photography exhibit. By then Makoto has broken up with Miyuki because he has decided he really loves Shizuru, and will wait for her to return. When he arrives in New York, he is greeted by Miyuki, and finds out that Shizuru was hiding a disease from him, and has died. Apparently when she fell in love with Makoto, and started eating more to “grow up” for him, she accelerated her disease. He goes to the exhibit and sees many photos of himself, and a huge photo of Shizuru all grown up and beautiful, as she had foretold. There is also the photo of the two of them kissing in the forest, with a caption saying that this was her one true love.

“I see dead people” is a common phrase used in parody, but if it were true, as it is for the leading lady in “Spellbound,” it would be a shockingly terrifying trait to hold.
Ever since she was young, Yeo-ri (Son Ye-jin), has had the unnatural ability to see ghosts, and when they do appear, usually when she has company, unexpected things occur to the people around her. Yeo-ri chooses to isolate herself from the outside world but is approached by a street magician named Jo-goo (Lee Min-ki), who offers her a job in his show.
One year passes, and Yeo-ri ends up playing a part in the magician’s horror-themed act, in which she plays a ghost in a closet. Every day, Jo-goo’s staff successfully close the show and invite Yeo-ri for drinks, but she always rejects their offer. She is fully aware what will happen if she gets close to people.
When eventually Yeo-ri opens up to Jo-goo about her tragic and lonely life, things start to change for the both of them. Can Jo-Goo help her find a way out? Or will he be chased away by the ghosts like all of the other people in Yeo-ri’s life?
